The Prehistoric Experience
The museum’s “Dinosaurs of Darkness” exhibit features hands-on exploration of Alaska’s dinosaur discoveries, including bones, teeth, claws, and eggs of various species like Hadrosaurs and Albertosaurs. It also displays skeletons and artistic reproductions of these prehistoric creatures.
Hours: Summer: 10 AM – 4 PM daily. Winter: 10 AM – 4 PM, Tuesday – Saturday. Check website for seasonal changes.

The museum features the “Gallery of Alaska,” which includes significant displays of Alaskan dinosaur fossils. It is home to the world’s largest collection of arctic dinosaurs and has the only research lab in the state dedicated to studying them. Visitors can see authentic fossils from species discovered in Alaska.
Hours: Summer (June 1 – August 31): 9 AM – 7 PM daily. Winter (September 1 – May 31): 10 AM – 5 PM Tuesday-Saturday. Closed Mondays and Sundays.
