The Prehistoric Experience

Features a permanent exhibit with a life-sized, animatronic Dilophosaurus, a dinosaur that lived in Connecticut 200 million years ago. The center also displays a soaring Pterosaur model and offers hands-on fossil dig experiences.

Dinosaur State Park

The Prehistoric Experience

The park’s main feature is its geodesic dome enclosing a preserved trackway with over 750 early Jurassic dinosaur footprints. The museum also contains interactive exhibits, dioramas of Jurassic and Triassic environments, and collections of fossils.

Fossil Falls Mini Golf

This incredible experience lets you dig for fossils, ride on the back of a dinosaur, and learn from expert dino trainers, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A large-scale traveling exhibition with life-size animatronic dinosaurs. It offers a variety of family-friendly activities, such as dinosaur-themed rides, bounce houses, fossil digs, a fossil science exhibit, and interactive shows with baby dinosaurs and raptor trainers.

The Children’s Museum

The Dinosaur Place at Nature’s Art Village

Step back in time for a prehistoric adventure at New England’s largest dinosaur-themed park! Explore over a mile of serene nature trails inhabited by over 60 magnificent, life-sized dinosaurs. With a giant splash pad, a challenging maze, and multiple playgrounds, it’s a full day of roaring fun for the whole family.

The Prehistoric Experience

Features over 60 life-sized dinosaur statues along 1.5 miles of nature trails. Additional attractions include the T-Rex Tower playscape, a dinosaur-themed maze (A-MAZE-asaurus), and an animatronic Dilophosaurus encounter.

Hours: Open daily April through November, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (weather permitting). Last entry at 5:00 PM. Closed on Easter and Thanksgiving.

Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History

Stand in the shadow of towering dinosaur skeletons in the magnificent Great Hall of Dinosaurs and marvel at the epic ‘The Age of Reptiles’ mural. Recently reopened after a stunning renovation, the museum offers a breathtaking and educational experience for all.

The Prehistoric Experience

The museum’s Great Hall of Dinosaurs features numerous fossil skeletons, including a juvenile Apatosaurus and a Stegosaurus. It is also home to the famous 110-foot-long ‘The Age of Reptiles’ mural. The collection contains many significant paleontological specimens.
