The Prehistoric Experience
The museum’s Irene W. Pennington Planetarium features dinosaur-themed shows such as “T-Rex” and “Dinosaur Passage to Pangaea.” The museum also has on display the largest intact Triceratops skull in the country, which is on loan. The museum occasionally hosts a “Dino Day” event with related activities.

The Prehistoric Experience
The park features a guided Dinosaur Trail with over 20 life-sized dinosaur exhibits, including five animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar. Notable animatronics include a 40-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex. Additional interactive activities include a fossil dig pit where visitors can uncover relics.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette Science Museum

The Prehistoric Experience
The museum exhibits a collection of dinosaur fossil casts from the late Jurassic Period, including Allosaurus, Camptosaurus, and Stegosaurus. There is also a cast of a Carnotaurus. Visitors can observe the ongoing work of preparing fossils and minerals in the UL Geology Preparation Laboratory.
