With a variety of hands-on activities, fossil digs, and even dinosaur rides, it’s an unforgettable adventure for every dino-lover in your family!

The Prehistoric Experience

Jurassic Quest is a traveling exhibit featuring life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs, dinosaur-themed rides, interactive science stations, fossil digs, and a “Tricera-tots” soft play area.

Hours: Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Prehistoric Gardens

What to Expect

Step back in time and wander through a lush coastal rainforest teeming with prehistoric giants! Prehistoric Gardens offers a unique opportunity to come face-to-face with 23 life-sized dinosaur sculptures in a natural and immersive setting. This family-owned attraction is a must-see for dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages, providing a perfect blend of adventure, education, and photo opportunities on your Oregon coast road trip.

The Prehistoric Experience

The attraction features 23 scientifically accurate, life-sized concrete sculptures of various dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures set along a trail in a coastal rainforest.

Hours: Summer: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Spring and Fall: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Winter: Call for hours.

University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History

What to Expect

Uncover millions of years of Oregon’s history, from the age of dinosaurs to the present day, at the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Explore fascinating exhibits that bring the past to life and get a rare glimpse of Oregon’s very own dinosaur. It’s an educational adventure for the whole family, where you can discover the stories of the land and its ancient inhabitants.

The Prehistoric Experience

The museum’s permanent “Explore Oregon” exhibit features the fossilized toe bone of the Mitchell Ornithopod, the first and only dinosaur fossil discovered in Oregon.

Hours: Wednesdays through Sundays 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Thursdays until 8:00 PM.
