Hours: Friday and Saturday: 1:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Sunday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM. Closed Monday through Thursday.

Unearth the ancient past at the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey Museum! Come face-to-face with the state’s only authentic dinosaur skeleton, a magnificent Edmontosaurus. It’s a fantastic educational adventure for the whole family to explore the prehistoric creatures that once roamed the earth.
The Prehistoric Experience
The museum features the only authentic dinosaur skeleton on exhibit in West Virginia, an 8-foot-high, 16-foot-long Edmontosaurus. Additionally, there are replica skulls of Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, and Allosaurus fragilis, as well as real dinosaur eggs.
Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday – Sunday: Closed. Please call ahead to confirm hours.
