The Prehistoric Experience
The museum focuses on the evolution of birds from carnivorous dinosaurs and showcases the largest collection of meat-eating theropod dinosaur skeletons in the nation. Exhibits include life-scale replicas of Tyrannosaurus rex, Gallimimus, and Ceratosaurus, as well as the interactive ‘Little Clint: The Story of a Baby Dinosaur’ exhibit.

Exploration Dinosaur

Step back in time for a roaring good adventure at the Milwaukee County Zoo! ‘Exploration Dinosaur’ brings the prehistoric world to life with over 20 scientifically-accurate animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar. This immersive outdoor exhibit is an exciting journey for aspiring paleontologists and dinosaur lovers of all ages!

A seasonal exhibit featuring more than 20 life-size, animatronic dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops. The exhibit also includes interactive activity stations, such as a dino detective dig.
Hours: Open during regular zoo hours: 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily through October 5, 2025.
Giant Sinclair Dinosaur

Pull over for a truly dino-mite photo opportunity! The Giant Sinclair Dinosaur is a quirky and beloved roadside attraction that brings a touch of prehistoric fun to your Wisconsin road trip. This towering, bright green brontosaurus is sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face and create a lasting memory.

A large, bright green fiberglass statue of a brontosaurus, the long-time mascot of Sinclair Oil. This statue is a classic piece of roadside Americana and a popular spot for photos.

Jurustic Park

Venture into a whimsical world where prehistoric creatures are brought to life through the magic of metalwork! Jurustic Park is a unique sculpture garden filled with fantastic, rusty beings crafted from old farm machinery and other scrap metal. It’s an imaginative and unforgettable experience that will charm and entertain visitors of all ages.
The Prehistoric Experience
The park features numerous metal sculptures of dinosaurs and other extinct creatures that inhabited the McMillan Marsh during the fictional “Iron Age.” These sculptures are the creations of artist Clyde Wynia.
Hours: Open most days from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Sundays from 12:00 PM). It is recommended to call or email to confirm hours, especially after September 1st.
Lost World Jurassic Mini Golf

An 18-hole outdoor miniature golf course with a dinosaur theme. Players can spot various dinosaur figures hidden throughout the course and take a photo in a giant broken dinosaur egg.
Hours: Open seasonally, typically Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting. Check the daily Wilderness Express for current hours.
